Halloween Treats

Halloween Treats

Let's get our Halloween Baking started with an easy no bake recipe.

Everything you need is easily available from the supermarket, no baking just decorating. If you want to make them from scratch then we'll cover that in our next blog.

What you'll need:

Rice Krispie Squares

White Chocolate - I used Ms Molly's White Chocolate from Tesco

Cake Decor Edible Eyes or Scary Edible eyes - I used the scary eyes

A piping bag - or you can use a fork

I used lollypop sticks so they are easier to eat but you dont need to do this. Either the round white ones or the flat wooden ones work

Supplies needed

Start by taking all your rice krispie squares out of the packaging and carefully push the lollypop stick into the bottom of each one

Inserting Lollypop Sticks

Melt some white chocolate in the microwave, start with 30 second burst then reduce to 10 seconds until fully melted, rememeber to give it a good stir after each burst

Use a little bit of chocolate and draw a line where you want the eyes, about a third of the way down the treat. Gently place the eyes onto the treat

Adding scary eyes

Next we want to put the chocolate into a piping bag, carefully snip the end off. I always place the treats on greaseproof paper to make it easier to clean up afterwards

Move the piping bag over the first treat and slowly go back and forward over the treat to make the bandages, repeat for the other treats.

Chocolate Drizzle

If you don't have a piping bag, dip a fork in the melted chocolate and shake backwards and forwards over the treat. This way is a bit messier so make sure to clear the surrounding area.

And that's our Rice Krispie Mummy's ready to eat.

Next week we'll be making Frankenstein Rice Kripsie Treats but we'll be making our own Rice Krispie Treats and colouring them....
